Reality bites at Ibrox as ‘investors’ demand pay back with interest

Most of the predictable sources are covering claims that Glen Kamara is a £10m transfer target for Nice.

There appears to be no questioning over why such a cash rich club that has just qualified for the Champions League is wanting to sell players rather than add to their star studded squad.

The Kamara tale is all shaped that the offer is unwanted, if that was the case the door could be closed on it or the player given a bumper new contract. All renewals at Ibrox are referred to as bumper.

Reality suggests that Ross Wilson has been working 24/7 over the last month to shift players with any outside interest chased up.

The Daily Record reports:

Key Rangers star Glen Kamara is reportedly a £10m transfer target for free-spending Ligue 1 side Nice.

The Finland international has been linked with a clutch of clubs this summer but it’s claimed billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s side are ready to push the boat out before the window closes. Kamara remains a crucial man at Rangers and the Scottish Sun state the Ibrox side do not want to lose the former Dundee man during this window. But a move would represent a mammoth profit on a player they paid a mere £50,000 for back in 2019.

Incoming business seems to come to a halt when Ben Davies and Ridvan Yilmaz were brought in for the best part of £10m at the end of July.

Strangely van Bronckhorst has appeared reluctant to use either player, much like John Souttar who was signed on a pre-contract deal, lasted an hour at Livingston and hasn’t been heard of since.

From the outside it seems that the blue nose investors that provided the loans to prop up five years of losses and finally getting their return- with no-one else prepared to put in the same level of money leaving the club to live within its means.

Loyal bears can buy Champions League tickets in a £180 package.
