SFA stand by Don Robertson as they give him another Celtic match

Don Robertson will referee Sunday’s match between St Mirren and Celtic- the second time in seven matches that he has been in charge of Ange Postecoglou’s side.

With Nick Walsh also refereeing the hoops twice it seems that there is an ever decreasing pool of referees for the SFA to put in charge of the top matches.

Celtic escaped serious injury from their trip to Ross County earlier this month but last season Calum Butcher of Dundee United and Alloa’s Mouhamed Niang both had retrospective red cards after incidents in matches against Celtic.

Recently Robertson was at the centre of controversy at Ibrox when he missed a foul by James Sands when the defender was already on a booking against Ross County.

Celtic are in action against Shakhtar Donetsk tomorrow night before Sunday’s trip to Paisley where they will be looking to extend their 100% start to the SPFL season.

He would not be in a job in another profession. He is incompetent! But so is the system and the people who are in charge of him. It clearly is not good enough! So, why don’t they roll up their sleeves and fix it!? Maybe they have never had a responsible position which is accountable – or maybe they just don’t work!!
