SPFL call off weekend fixtures
All SPFL matches scheduled for this weekend have been postponed.
The announcement just after noon today means that Celtic’s match against Livingston will have to be rescheduled.
Less than an hour earlier the EPL announced that fixtures had been postponed until further notice but the SPFL statement only applied to this weekend.
Following meetings this morning, @ScottishFA, SPFL, @SWPL, and Scottish Highland and Lowland Football Leagues have agreed that all professional football matches will be postponed this weekend as a mark of respect following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

With an international weekend coming up over September 24/25 there are very limited opportunities to rearrange fixtures with five weekends lost to the World Cup Finals during November and December.
Celtic are scheduled to play Shakhtar Donetsk in Warsaw on September 14 with no indication that that fixture will be postponed.
Next weekend Celtic are scheduled to play away to St Mirren but that match could be in doubt or switched from the Sunday to the Saturday dependent on funeral arrangements.
This weekend’s Highland and Lowland League fixtures have also been postponed.
