Ryan Kent has been warned that there won’t be a queue of clubs offering him deals next summer.

The former Liverpool starlet is out of contract next summer with little sign of interest in him during the summer.

Step-overs might excite some fans but a non-scoring winger isn’t going to have clubs falling over themselves to bid for his services.

Two SPFL goals in the last 15 months is a horrendous return that has been matched or surpassed by Tony Ralston, Carl Starfelt and Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Last summer Connor Goldson discovered that no-one in England was impressed by his Ibrox form, speaking to Football Insider Gabriel Agbonlahor warned Kent:

To be honest, if you’re not ripping up trees in the SPFL then no big club is going to look at you at all.

If he doesn’t buck up his ideas and start performing it’s going to affect his next move. He might be looking at the Premier League and end up in the Championship.

He has to definitely start performing. When I’ve watched him recently he hasn’t looked like the Ryan Kent I saw last year. He’s got to improve, definitely

Every transfer window Leeds are reported to be keeping tabs on Kent, like the Morelos Moonbeams no bids are ever made.

Kent will be among the top earners at Ibrox after signing from Liverpool for £7m in September 2019 after the club had snapped up Jake Hastie, Jordan Jones and Brandn Barker over the previous three months.
