BT Sport have released a video version of their Currie Club podcast with Ange Postecoglou.

Sitting down with Chris Sutton and Darrell Currie the Celtic boss was in reflective mood at the end of last month as he looked back on an incredible 12 months in the spotlight at Celtic.

With virtually nothing but self confidence and belief in himself the Australian, ignored by European clubs into his mid-fifties, took on the biggest rebuilding job that any Celtic manager had faced in over 20 years.

Celtic lost three of their first six SPFL matches but among those set-backs were two 6-0 home wins and qualification for the Europa League via an aggregate win over AZ Alkmaar.

There were a couple of pivotal victories- an away win at Aberdeen in October, the League Cup Final victory over Hibs but without doubt a 3-0 win in the Glasgow derby turned the tide- creating momentum that led to the SPFL title and a place in the Champions League:

That was the night I believed. Not that I never believed, but I knew that was a critical night.

If they had won that game and gone four points ahead of us, I thought that was a bridge too far, there’s no way they’re gonna drop any more games against anyone else.

And us winning home and away against them is gonna be a tough ask, we’d have to be literally perfect.

The Champions League chapter is only beginning.
