Watch BBC Scotland reporter’s laboured question to Ange Postecoglou

Kheredine Idessane has asked more than a couple of unfortunate questions in his long broadcasting career with BBC Scotland.

Being sent around the world to follow Andy Murray must be one of the easiest shifts in sport but with that jolly almost at an end he is increasingly being used for football coverage.

In October 2001, as news emerged that Craig Brown was resigning as Scotland manager Idessane decided to ask Martin O’Neill if he’d be interested in the SFA vacancy!

It was more than just Celtic’s first ever Champions League campaign that was keeping a 49-year-old in his prime in the cut and thrust of club management rather than mixing with the SFA blazers at Hampden.

Sent to Warsaw this week to cover a football match it seems that Idessane felt that his employer was perhaps short on reaction to the death last week of a 96-year-old lady.

His question seems to have been edited out of much of the coverage of the pre-match conference, there was nothing on the BBC Scotland website.

Joe McHugh has been Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.
When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.
Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement, cheers big man.
There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same more than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying every success for Scotland's Most Successful Club.

I thought Ange looked utterly scunnered by the whole press conference.
I think the problem is that he knows he isn’t going to be asked probing questions regarding tactics, shape, or personnel but rather inane drivel about current affairs or ticket allocations.
The guy is an Australian and they tend to give short shrift to most things Royal.

Ange was clean shaven at the beginning of this interview !

Brilliant wee Coco the known over on ibrox noise is licking his wounds today, apparently the fans shouldn’t be to heavy on the punishment dished out to the team.
Wee Coco said it’s all about being back in the big time and it will take time to ajust to the quality his team are playing.
Lol this was the same BENNY that laughed at Celtic for the heavy defeats, lol but it’s a learning thing for his klub to be playing at that level.
