They may have been 1,500 miles from home but one corner of Mallorca resembled Celtic Park as holidaying fans gathered to watch yesterday’s derby match.

Santa Ponsa is without doubt a green and white resort with Irish and Celtic themed bars found around The Square and from Daniels Corner to The Dubliner along Carrer de Ramon de Montcada.

Celts Well in The Square is the first choice for many fans to watch the action, with the crowds back to 2019 levels a huge screen has been set up in the centre of The Square to provide an even bigger capacity. Yesterday it was heaving.

Liel Abada was soon raising cheers in Mallorca, by half-time the holidaymakers were having the best of both worlds as they watched Celtic turning on the style while they soaked up the rays and Cerveza’s in the sunshine.

The celebrations lasted all day and into the night, on Tuesday the fans will gather again to see how Angeball gets on when the hoops welcome the champions of Spain and Europe.
