Ange Postecoglou is hoping to have David Turnbull available for Wednesday’s League Cup tie away to Motherwell.

The midfielder picked up a knock during the Champions League defeat from RB Leipzig and missed today’s 6-1 win over Hibs.

Jota, Stephen Welsh, Callum McGregor and Carl Starfelt also missed today’s match against Hibs with only McGregor and the Swede appearing to be a medium term concerns.

From what I know about today so far I think that everybody should be OK for Wednesday.

We took Sead (Haksabanovic) off because he had a bit of an ankle issue going into the game but he was really keen to play. Once the game was sort of done we could take him off at 45.

Yeah, I think everyone else is good, hopefully by Wednesday maybe Dave Turnbull will be close as well, hopefully we should be OK.

Giorgos Giakoumakis had to be substituted after scoring his second and Celtic’s fifth in today’s match.

The win over Hibs suggests that Postecoglou does have the depth in his squad to cope with domestic matters until the World Cup break.

Celtic still have eight matches to play before the break with five of them in the SPFL Premiership. If the hoops can win all of those games they will go into the World Cup break in a strong position and hopefully be boosted by the return of McGregor when they take on Aberdeen on December 17.
