Celtic look like being a little closer to full strength for Wednesday’s Champions League tie away to RB Leipzig.
Cameron Carter-Vickers and Giorgos Giakoumakis missed Saturday’s win over Motherwell but look to be in contention for the big match in Germany.
Postecoglou tends to be fairly vague on the subject of injuries but there was a hint that the former Spurs defender will be available to face Leipzig.
Postecoglou told Celtic TV:
Everybody got through the weekend’s game really well from a physical standpoint which is important. Still sort of waiting on Cameron to see how he is and obviously Carl (Starfelt) misses out but apart from that everybody is in good shape physically.
Using a simple elimination process that would suggest that Giakoumakis is available despite picking up a knock on international duty with Greece in midweek.
With the hectic pre World Cup schedule now underway there is no margin for error, a two week set-back could result in five or six matches being missed putting extra pressure on the remaining players.
Carter-Vickers hasn’t played since the Champions League away tie to Shakhtar Donetsk on September 14.
