ARSEFIELD- Watch as Ally McCoist’s half-time excitement gets the better of him

Ally McCoist was forced to correct himself live on TV last night after saying ARSEFIELD live on BT Sport.

The cheeky chappie was in the studio at Ibrox when the word slipped out during the half-time discussion.

It seems that the first ever Champions League goal for the Ibrox Tribute Act was just too much for their former manager as he summed up the first 45 minutes and a late chance for the one-time Burnley ace.

BT Sport showed a cringey clip of McCoist celebrating the opening goal in the match in which the 60-year-old was hugging Rio Ferdinand as if they were long term buddies.

Coisties half- time excitement soon gave way to reality as a shadow Liverpool team came out and scored SIX second half goals to leave Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side with zero points, in bottom place and carrying a goal difference of 1-16 ahead of their trip to group leaders Napoli.

At the final whistle McCoist looked very pale as he stumbled around reminding himself that a decade ago he was in charge of a side getting pumped by Annan and Peterhead,

There isn’t likely to be many gags, quips and jokes from McCoist about Celtic over the next couple of days.
