Celtic’s B side suffered a 4-2 defeat away to Cumbernauld Colts in the Lowland League this afternoon.

After playing in the UEFA Youth League and Premier League International Cup, today’s match was the first in the Lowland League since the October 8 win away to Tranent.

Ewan Otoo was sent off in the 4-2 defeat away to Fulham in the PLIC, today he saw red after just four minutes to leave the hoops facing a tough task with Dylan Corr replacing Aiden Haddow to join Bosun Lawal in central defence.

The red card had little impact on Celtic as they raced into an early lead thanks to a second minute own goal from Ryan Adamson and a strike from Joey Dawson in the 15th minute.

In the 26th minute the Colts pulled one back with a Craig Holmes penalty then levelled the scoring six minutes before half time with a goal from Cole McIntyre.

Colts went into lead just before the hour mark through Marky Munro then put the match beyond doubt when Holmes scored his second penalty of the day in the 73rd minute.

On Wednesday the young Celtic complete their UEFA Youth League group with a noon kick-off away to Real Madrid.

CELTIC: Clark, Dede (Letsosa 46), Lawal, Otoo, Thomson, Carse, Kelly (Murphy 58), Haddow (Corr 6), Quinn, Davidson, Dawson (Brooks 58)

SUBS: Morrison, Turley, Vata
