Harry Kewell has described Ange Postecoglou’s style as Rock and Roll football!

Last summer when the Australian took over as manager Celtic fans were warned to prepare for Angeball- a high intensity, pressing attacking style of play geared wholly towards scoring goals and bearing down opponents.

Celtic started last season with three defeats in their first six SPFL matches but at home they set down markers with 6-0 demolitions of Dundee and St Mirren.

Led by Kyogo Furuhashi the supporters bought fully into the style of their new boss who fed off the passion of the supporters. It created a potent mix.

There were a few wobbles but after winning the League Cup the hoops overturned a six point deficit at the turn of the year to clinch the SPFL title on an emotional night at Tannadice.

During the summer Kewall was brought in to the coaching team and is thrilled by the environment that he has joined.

Looking ahead to next month’s Sydney Super Cup matches (3 minutes 10 seconds) Kewell said:

It would be nice to show the Australian public what he is all about He has a Celtic team playing a certain style of football that is Rock and Roll. It’s hard, it’s full on, it’s his style.

Unfortunately Celtic will be without most of their international players for the matches against Sydney FC on November 17 and Everton on November 20.
