Kris Boyd was forced to stick it out in the Sky Sports studio as his beloved Ibrox Tribute Act were humilated in front of football fans worldwide.

Once Roberto Firmino equalised for the visitors there was only going to be one outcome, when Mo Salah came off the bench the limitations of Leon King, Ben Davies and Old Man McGregor were cruelly exposed.

Boyd had to watch the goals fly in and put on his forced smile as the proper Sky Sports presenters revelled in a night of pain for Scottish football.

Tomorrow Boyd will be putting together a coumn for The Sun ahead of Sunday’s trip to Motherwell to watch his Champions League flops back in SPFL action.
