‘Interesting kit news’ as Adidas prepare to launch fourth Celtic shirt

Celtic are reported to be preparing to release a fourth kit.

Adidas have been busy releasing a variety of training kit over the last few months but a fourth playing kit would break new ground.

The traditional home kit for this season has gone down well when seen during matches after a lukewarm reaction to a series of close up patterns through the hoops.

A mainly black away kit with green and white pinstripes has been regularly used such as in the Champions League away match against RB Leipzig and is likely to be used next week in Madrid.

The one big issue has been the grey/silver kit worn in the only domestic defeat away to St Mirren. It was difficult to distinguish the Celtic players from the Paisley side with the shirt looking a decent training kit but hard to justify for competitive matches.

We have interesting kit news, as Celtic FC will apparently receive a new 2022-2023 fourth kit. It is made by Adidas and will be worn in the current Scottish Premiership season.

The Adidas Celtic 2022-23 fourth shirt would be the first of its kind to be made for the club. In previous years, Celtic have had fourth jerseys, but these were merely the third kit from the year before being put to use to avoid kit clashes.

The leaked information would indicate that the Adidas Celtic FC 2022-2023 fourth shirt is unique and would have a proper release. If the current 22-23 kits are anything to go by, then perhaps the fourth shirt will have a contrasting colour scheme to these. A warm colour would make the most sense.

The launch will be timed for the lucrative Christmas market.
