Tonight’s Champions League visit to Glasgow was a night that Danylo Sikan will never forget- for all the wrong reasons.
With the score level at 1-1 Shakhtar Donetsk broke with menace down the left with Mykhaylo Mudryk escaping the sliding challenge of Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Breaking into the Celtic penalty box he rolled that ball into the path of substitute Sikan who seemed utterly overwhelmed as he took a touch on his left foot with the ball rolling forward, and forward and forward.
Rather than poke the ball into the net Sikan seemed to be waiting for something else to happen. Incredibly the ball rolled out for a goal kick and a massive cheer across Celtic Park.

Celtic had looked on course for a win when Giorgos Giakoumakis opened the scoring in the 34th minute but they passed up chances to build on that goal.
Shakhtar broke sharply in the 58th minute with Mudryk too powerful and strong for the Celtic defence, shooting powerfully past Joe Hart from 20 yards out.
Twelve minutes later Sikan lived through a nightmare but the point means that a win at home to RB Leipzig next week will take the Ukrainian side into the last 16 of the Champions League.
Listen they’re still in it we’re not. Kyogos was not far behind.
