Leigh Griffiths has liked an Instagram post speculating that he could be playing against Celtic on Sunday!
Media Group SNS posted the suggestion at lunchtime today with the striker among those that gave it a like.
With no word out of the SFA or SPFL on Friday night it seems highly unlikely that Griffiths will be playing on Sunday but it does seem that he is interested in returning to his first senior club.
As a free agent he can sign for a club outside of the transfer windows, since returning from making two appearances for Australian regional side Mandurah City the 32-year-old has been training with Livingston.
Despite signing a 12 month Celtic contract in July 2021 Griffiths spent last season out on loan at Dundee and Falkirk, failing to make much of an impact with either side.
Two years ago he was playing for Scotland and winning a Scottish Cup medal with Celtic against Hearts but in 2022 he has virtually been frozen out of Scottish football.
