As the nearest English city to Dublin, Liverpool has strong connections with Ireland which is reflected in almost every aspect of life in the city.
Both of the city’s football clubs draw support from third and fourth generation families and bring in support on matchdays from across Ireland.
Although Glasgow now has a large number of city centre Irish pubs that situation has long been the case in Liverpool, but with today’s visitors in mind Irish pubs have been warned to make a few changes.

Around 2,600 tickets have been allocated to Ibrox fans but it is believed that many home end tickets have been bought online to bolster that support.
