Graeme Souness has again demonstrated how detached he is from Scottish football.

With the frequency of pay days declining the former Liverpool manager has ditched his outdated analysis in favour of becoming a Shock Jock.

Too much time spent in the company of Jim White has taken its toll with space to be filled for a column in the Daily Mail.

Apparently whatever problems Celtic have in the Champions League won’t be solved by another season or two in the competition but by the building of a shiny new stadium somewhere in Glasgow with a 100,000 capacity to be shared with the Tribute Act formed by Charles Green in 2012.

Would you watch Celtic play at City of Glasgow Stadium?

Yeah, long overdue a venture like this, ala Milan or Rome

Not a chance, only one home for Celtic

Only in the mind of Souness is such an idea viable, on every level it falls to pieces.

Leaving Celtic Park would require a very hard sell to supporters who’ve travelled along London Road and the Gallowgate for generations. In the mid-nineties the stadium was transformed but it still retains the spirit of the past, the Hampden season was soul-less on so many levels.

Sharing a stadium with anyone else would be a non-starter, sharing it with Scotland’s Shame would be pointless. You could put Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne in Celtic kit and have a tough task getting fans into the stadium used by the other mob.

EPL clubs are firmly against Celtic moving south in their current form despite having the third biggest stadium capacity in the UK, only an idiot would think that 40,000 more seats would somehow roll out the Welcome Mat to hoover up some of the EPL prize money.

Should Celtic go with the Souness Super Stadium plan?

Yes, we need change, this is the way ahead

No, not a chance, time for Souness to retire
