Their 10 year journey to the Champions League has ended in utter despair.
Charles Green and Dave King dreamt about it but Giovanni van Bronckhorst was the man that delivered Zadoc The Priest to the Ibrox tannoy.
Two months ago PSV Eindhoven were overcome, the draw was made and the loyal bears were off to Ajax, Liverpool and Napoli on the next stage of their journey.
There hasn’t even been a false start but at the first hurdle van Bronckhorst’s side came crashing to reality with Ajax handing out a 4-0 defeat.
Four more defeats have followed, the goal difference stands at 1-19 with Paddy Power revelling in the misery of Ibrox fans.
