If you ever tire of watching Reo Hatate’s goal at Motherwell perhaps football isn’t the game for you.
Celtic had been in dazzling form for an hour when the midfielder delivered his own special moment of class to put the hoops 3-0 in front and leave Liam Kelly wondering just what he had witnessed.
After Hatate had out manoeuvred Ricki Lamie the Motherwell keeper seemed to have most angles covered but before he knew it the ball had switched from Hatate’s right foot onto his left and into the net.
Celtic’s other goals weren’t too shabby either as Ange Postecoglou’s side pressed the resistance out of their opponents.
It was something of a miracle that Motherwell held out until the 43rd minute but once Liel Abada raced onto a cut-back from Greg Taylor it was only going to be a matter of how many as Celtic advanced into the semi-final draw.
