A gable end mural of Jurgen Klopp has been vandalised overnight, ahead of tonight’s Champions League match at Anfield.
Around 6,000 Ibrox fans are expected in the city, clearly some were in place overnight as they attacked the tribute to Liverpool’s charismatic manager.
There is a fierce rivalry between Liverpool and Everton but a level of respect that allows such a mural to be put in place in the first place.
With the Ibrox support largely drawn by their common hatred for those who aren’t ‘The People’ it is little surprise to see them exporting their values outside of Scotland.
Hundreds of Ibrox fans have bought up tickets in the home sections, vandalising the Klopp mural might not play out well for the undercover bears inside Ibrox.

I’ve just assumed it’s because they love the union and we don’t. Could be wrong like but either way, they’re pathetic.

I genuinely hate the people who do this. These things are great and I want to see more of them (definitely more Everton ones) in the city. Defacing them is genuinely embarrassing for the side who does it even if it’s just down to a few sad individuals.

is there no way to protect these murals? like plexiglass or something idk but the club needs to step in and fund it cause there’s no way it should be that easy to deface somebody’s hard work

Big one tomorrow at Anfield. Playing against a club who stand for pretty much everything we don’t.
Let’s get the place rocking. #LFC pic.twitter.com/TvENyl2qAq
