SFA send the Walsh & McLean tag team to Ibrox for Aberdeen clash

Fresh from their highly criticised performance at Tynecastle on Saturday the SFA are putting Nick Walsh and Steven McLean in charge of Aberdeen’s visit to Ibrox on Saturday.

McLean will referee the match with Walsh, a PE teacher to the Murray Park starlets through the week, assessing the match on screens as the VAR.

On the back of wins over Hearts and Motherwell, Aberdeen will travel with some confidence but Jim Goodwin might be studying the Hearts v Celtic match for an idea of what to expect.

Should Celtic ask for publication of VAR conversations between McLean and Walsh?

It seems that Walsh and McLean have unusual perceptions about what constitutes arms being in natural positions with discretionary offside calls being made with no evidence offered to support decisions.

McLean was in charge of Hearts’ 4-0 defeat from Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side on October 1.
