Over the last two days it has been impossible to avoid re-runs of Danylo Sikan’s incredible miss for Shakhtar Donetsk against Celtic.
With the match level at 1-1 the ball was passed into Sikan’s path but after one touch with his left foot he seemed to freeze as 60,000 fans watched in amazement as the ball rolled past the post. Celtic fans celebrated as if a goal had been scored.
On a Champions League night that clip went viral, fans across Europe shared the video and speculated that it was the worst sitter of all time.

Always eager to claim obscure records there is a Colombian playing in Glasgow who can snatch that claim from the unfortunate Sikan.
The Ukrainian failed to control a pass across goal- what Alfredo Morelos achieved was much much more difficult.
Watching play building down the right the then slim-line striker moved into the six yard box, the ball was delivered and from two yards out Morelos skied the ball into the Ayrshire sky.
