UEFA have fined Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s boot boys for their performance against Napoli.

James Sands was sent off with James Tavernier, Borna Barisic, John Lundstram and Alfredo Morelos booked as the Ibrox men went down to a heroic 3-0 defeat.

After three matches van Bronckhorst’s side have no points and no goals but they have been recognised today by UEFA as The Sun reports:

Rangers have been fined £12,284 for “improper conduct of the team” against Napoli on Sep 14.

The Gers received six bookings during the match, including two which saw James Sands sent off.

The Ibrox club flouted Uefa’s rules by singing God Save The King prior to that match but the governing body said no action would be taken for that incident.

The match with Napoli had been put back 24 hours to allow the home sign time to grieve over the loss of the monarch, no Napoli fans were present with Ibroc fans banned from the match in Italy later this month.
