It was the moment that could have finally sealed his escape from Ibrox.

Trailing 2-0 to a Napoli side in Training Ground mode Alfredo Morelos was presented with a chance that would have been the first reel on his agent’s pitch for a January move.

Ridvan Yilmaz broke down the left, Morelos timed his run perfectly, the ball was delivered exactly as requiredinto the six yard box but somehow the chunky Colombian failed to make contact, almost any contact would have ended with the ball into the net.

Soon afterwards the substitute boards were up, the petted lip trudged off to be replaced by Antonio Colak knowing that he’ll almost certainly be at Ibrox on February 1 to run down the last few months of his contract.

With just two goals so far this season it will take an incredible effort for Morelos’ agent to find a club offering a contract and a token transfer fee to complete a January deal.
