Around 5.15pm on Monday Michael Beale was announced as the latest manager of the Ibrox Tribute Act, at 10.30am on Wednesday a clean shaven manager appeared on the club’s Christmas video.

The timeline of the 42-year-old has been causing intrigue over the last six weeks, ever since he started highlighting his loyalty as QPR results went on a downward spiral.

Beale’s appearance at Ibrox on October 29 looks far from innocent, visiting pubs that he body-swerved while assistant to Steven Gerrard then greeting Connor Goldson like a long lost relative in the middle of the Directors Box.

His movements this week aren’t easy to track but he does look fresh faced in the Christmas video shoot, in contrast to the scruffy Robbie Neilson look he has in his interviews with Sky Sports and the club’s in-house TV service.

It seems that the fresh faced look only appears on the Christmas video, whenever it was taken.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst will have some suspicions but as long as his contract has been paid up in full the problems at Ibrox are happily no longer his business.
