Ibrox fans weren’t impressed by the announcement of a December glamour friendly against Bayer Leverkusen.

From the initial reaction not even the lure of 5 MyGers points will get loyal bears along to the match with calls to boycott the match as a protest against the board who charged them £60 a ticket to get skudded in the Champions League.

After a day of silence on social media, without even a James Tavernier interview pointing out that the SPFL gap is only seven points, the club now faces being swamped with abuse and criticism with every Twitter announcement.

That bizarre sense of entitlement is never far from the surface, the board has short changed the loyal bears who apparently expect every domestic match to be won while progressing in Europe.

Nine defeats this season, eight since the start of September has crushed the support with the departure of Giovanni van Bronckhorst the statement that almost all fans are waiting on.
