At the start of November they were Celtic team-mates in the Bernabeu, lining up against Real Madrid.

Next month Josip Juranovic and Aaron Mooy could be facing each other in the World Cup Finals but the club team-mates can recognise each others progress in Qatar.

Mooy has every reason to feel pleased with himself following his pivotal role in Australia’s 1-0 win over Tunisia, now it looks very likely that only a draw is needed against Denmark to progress into the last 16.

On Thursday Croatia face Belgium, leading Roberto Martinez’s side by a point with both side knowing that Morocco are likely to beat Canada to leave the European nations with one qualifying place to secure.

The knock out phase gets underway on Saturday- two weeks ahead of Celtic’s return to action away to Aberdeen with Ange likely to go into that fixture without any players going into the second phase of the World Cup Finals.

Jura was excellent V Canada with a solid – not perfect – display. His run and quick reaction was on the button gor his goal assist. The Canadian three passports, (or is it 4?), performed well and given the second half of season to get to know the team and settle will be OK. The pres gang that suppose Jura is Offski dont get the concept of in January, ready August mentality. If Jura goes this window i’d be surprised, due to prior sentence. Ange has the correct way of business. Bring them in January, ready to play August whe ready. Then someone or 2 leave. Thing is it doesn’t need to be a RB for RB, a DM for DM. It’s about in out, in out, shake it all about.
In other words, I doubt Ally J is leaving Montreal to be a starter. He is joining to blend in.
