Cameron Carter-Vickers has bee left out of the Celtic squad for tomorrow’s match against Real Madrid tomorrow night.
The former Spurs man has played the last five matches in central defence alongside Moritz Jenz and has captained Celtic since Callum McGregor was out injured.
Stephen McGowan of the Daily Mail tweeted:
Celtic flew to Madrid without injured defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, reports Ange Postecoglou
Carl Starfelt hasn’t played since September 3 with the other option, Stephen Welsh last playing on October 7 in the win over St Johnstone. Welsh played impressively alongside Jenz in the 3-1 defeat away to RB Leipzig.
Neither Starfelt or Welsh made the bench at Livingston on Sunday but it seems certain that one of them will be lining up against the Champions League holders tomorrow night in Madrid.
Although Celtic have only pride to play for Real need to win tomorrow’s match to top the group and ensure that they are drawn against a runner-up in the draw for the last 16.
With Carter-Vickers and Callum McGregor missing it is likely to be a choice between Joe Hart and Greg Taylor to captain Celtic on their first visit to the Bernabeu in 42 years.

What about Jamesy he is the most senior member of the squad so possibly captain tomorrow night
