The Daily Record has claimed that ‘Gio get to f**k’ chants were heard from loyal bears at McDiarmid Park yesterday.
On the back of becoming the worst ever team to play in the Champions League falling seven points behind Celtic proved to be too much to take for some away fans.
As recently as Friday the Daily Record was crowning Ryan Kent as the King of the Assisted Assist and Step-overs but with the Sports Desk facing a winter of discontent it seems that they have decided that enough is enough with van Bronckhorst.
Andy Newport is a regular fixture on the upbeat Record ‘Rangers’ Podcast but has firmly changed his tune, writing in the Record he lays it all on the line:
Gio van Bronckhorst admitted there’s no excuses for the shock defeat that leaves both Rangers’ title hopes and his own survival prospects at Ibrox hanging in the balance.
But the beleaguered Ibrox boss insists he’s still the man to turn around a campaign in danger of collapse following yesterday’s shock 2-1 defeat to St Johnstone. As if recording the worst ever Champions League group stage performance wasn’t bad enough for the Dutchman, he’s now facing fresh flak after watching his team fall seven points adrift of rivals Celtic in the Premiership flag race.
There were chants of “Gio get to f**k” after Nicky Clark put Callum Davidson’s Saints two up at McDiarmid while a group of around 50 furious Gers fans gathered outside the stadium’s front door to demand answers after the full-time whistle. Still a week shy of his first anniversary in the job, van Bronckhorst knows he’s under major pressure.

Who will replace van Bronckhorst at Ibrox?
Wee Davie has the class and dignity for it

Robbie is the man, good European experience

Mister Gerrard- the Prodigal Returns

Things must be bad for wee Gio
When the daily ranger is given the all clear from their govan masters to stick the boot in
All the cheerleaders have been given permission to put the boot in they have been doing it for a few weeks now. Compare this to the cheeky chappies team in the lower tier of scottish football when not one of them dared to speak out about the shambles that was taking place before their eyes.
