Dyche and Hasenhuttl- Kris Boyd namedrops his runners and riders to replace Gio and halt Ange

Kris Boyd wouldn’t rule anyone out of taking over from Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Ibrox!

Pep, Jose, Jurgen and Antonio are unlikely to return a call from Ross Wilson while Robbie Neilson and David Martindale have their campaign teams in the media hard at work.

After Ange Postecoglou saw off two star names in just over a year the realities of the Ibrox job where expectations are way out of step with reality are about to come home to roost.

The summer transfer surplus has been used to pay off van Bronckhorst, with half a dozen regulars out of contract in May the next boss has the mother and father of rebuilding jobs to complete.

Soon after van Bronckhorst got his pay off Boyd was on Sky Sports, listening in the Daily Record reports:

I wouldn’t rule anybody out. Whether it’s big names trying to get a start in their managerial career like Steven Gerrard or managers trying to rebuild their reputation like Brendan Rodgers, to then get a move back down to England. I wouldn’t rule anybody out.

Rangers can’t afford the Premier League wages that Sean Dyche or Ralph Hasenhuttl would have been on, but there is a special attraction to both big clubs in Scotland. The attraction of playing in Europe, and the opportunity to win trophies.

The obvious one at this point would be Michael Beale. He is someone who turned down the Wolves job not so long ago. The Rangers fans remember what he did under Steven Gerrard, and they are extremely proud that he was part of the team that delivered 55 for the football club. There is an obvious connection there.

Whether Michael Beale wants to leave QPR at this moment in time remains to be seen, he obviously turned down Wolves not so long ago. Whether that was the right move, or maybe he got wind that something was going to happen at Ibrox and was prepared to wait for that – we don’t know.

Martindale or Neilson with Barry Ferguson/Kenny Miller/ Neil McCann or Kevin Thomson should be enough to satisfy the bears on social media who seem to drive matters inside Ibrox.
