Dave King is set to crank up the pressure on his old boardroom colleagues with a media offensive and public meetings with Club 1872.
With the board under pressure to sack Giovanni van Bronckhorst King will be relying heavily on the claim that if he had remained at the club Steven Gerrard wouldn’t have quit to join Aston Villa.
That claim can never be proved one way or another but while fans despair over van Bronckhorst staying in charge fuzzy images of Gerrard winning one trophy out of nine provide some comfort and hope for the future.
With the World Cup about to get underway there will be less media space for speculation over van Bronckhorst being sacked, yesterday Sky Sports broadcast an anniversary interview with the Dutchman which made it clear he’ll be in charge when the SPFL season resumes on December 15.
King will ramp up the noise through his favoured messengers, there will be speculation about an explosive AGM on December 6 but with a few attacks on the SPFL and SFA it will turn out to be a damp squib with a few dissenters outed as not being real Rainjurz men.
Since stepping down as chairman in March 2020 King has been trying to sell his shares to Club 1872 but with just over 6,000 contributors that isn’t going to happen. One offer for his 16% stake in the company and King will barely be heard from again.
Dave king is fully aware of what is going on at the club and Steven Gerrard would not have left @RangersFC if Dave King was still at the club. Watch the full podcast with @Chris_Jack89 now on our YouTube channel. Link ??????????????????

Gerrard staying would not in any way have been guaranteed by King still being involved. Gerrard would have done what was right for Gerrard. Revisionism has meant the start of last season pre Gerrard leaving has been forgotten. The same malaise we are seeing today was evident then

King came to get the club back in the hand of Rangers minded people, and stated it was time to leave, probably seen it as “Job Done” which in my opinion, it was. I don’t see the need for him to return.

It was his company that did the loan, he asked for it to be interest free and was challenged by SA authorities. Can’t possibly dig at him for the way Rangers have gone about their business.

That’s like saying if I would have kept doing the euromillions I would have won it.
He voted to send the debt ridden old club to the grave a real true blue rainjurs man.
The usual tripe, Gerrard is his own man,and the big blue Hoose was only a stop gap, till the EPL came a calling.
Don’t forget that King is warned off by the City of London Ombudsman for being essentially bent ! If in that capacity he does return to Ibrox ,will the SMSM scrutinize that decision and absolutely condemn both parties ? How long can you hold yer breath for……….?
King is an absolute piece of shit, a career con-man with not a care for whom he robs from orphanages to god knows what. He’ll hang around like a bad fart until he sells his shares and at top price to boot. He’s got the most gullible fans on the planet on his side as he truly is ‘one of them’. Scum of the earth, both. They deserve each other.
The Dead cannot leave the Dead!
