Moving to Ibrox has killed off the World Cup dream of Rabbi Matondo with Antonio Colak and US soccer guys Rabbi Matondo and James Sands also watching the Qatar action on telly.
Rob Page named his 26 man Welsh squad for the finals last night with no place for their Usain Bolt but he did include Chris Gunter and Jonny Williams, who play in League Two for AFC Wimbledon and Swindon.
Matondo has made 17 appearances for the Ibrox Tribute Act without scoring, explaining the decision to leave the winger at Murray Park Welsh boss Page told Sky Sports:
It’s been a frustrating time for him. I think he was playing his best football when he was in Belgium.
If he’d have been playing week in, week out, scoring goals and creating chances like he was in Belgium then it would have been a really difficult decision for me.
Europa League hero Aaron Ramsey is included in the World Cup squad.
Tillman and Sands can join James Tavernier, Scott Arfield and Alfredo Morelos for 5-a-sides at Murray Park over the next few weeks.
