Simon Jordan has delivered a scathing verdict on Micky Beale as he closes in on the managers job at Ibrox.

Shouting the odds about his loyalties and not jumping ship after speculation about a move to Wolves has come back to bite the current QPR boss. It will be a long time before any chairman or CEO trusts any of the soundbites that he comes out with.

A double u-turn isn’t a good look in any circumstances, if things don’t work out at Ibrox Beale could be waiting a long time for another opportunity in management.

Listening in to Jordan speaking on TalkSPORT this morning, The Sun reports the former Crystal Palace chief saying:

He’s a Johnny-come-lately in the management world. Someone had to take that plunge.

Someone had to say: ‘I am going to pluck you from the obscurity of being a member of the coaching staff and give you the big seat, I’m going to give you the opportunity to earn the right to be a manager and learn on my dime and my time’.

The reward for that is he has indexed the walls and we all praised the pushback, and now here we are again with a situation manifesting itself that he is likely to go to Rangers.

What could QPR have done? I don’t think they could have done very much. I don’t think they ever had control of their own destiny in that situation.

Beale is expected to sign a three and a half year contract and bring in his own coaching team.

Will Beale be more of a threat to Celtic than wee Gio?

What a shambles of a club. This is brilliant news for us Celtic fans. The running of that monstrosity over govan way is a joke. Every day there’s something to laugh about with their shenanigans. Long may it continue
