Keith Jackson believes that Alfredo Morelos’ value has dropped to £500,000 with ni guarentee that there would be any buyers at that price.

Over the course of 10 transfer windows the Daily Record has kept their army of readers informed of multiple clubs keeping tabs, preparing bids and poised to swoop with bids of between £20-£30m.

Incredibly no serious offer has been made for the Colombian striker who has signed two contract extensions since arriving from HJK Helsinki in the summer of 2017.

Last season came to a shuddering halt for Morelos in March when he had to undergo surgery on a hip injury, truth be told this season hasn’t started with the star shamed worldwide by some horror misses in the Champions League.

In January the three-goal striker will be able to sign a pre-contract deal to walk away for nothing but Jackson isn’t sure that there will be any takers.

After discussing Ryan Kent the star man at the Daily Record admitted:

Alfredo Morelos, of course, has been left in the same sinking boat. But, unlike Kent, the Colombian loose cannon can no longer be bothered to contribute. So much so, in fact, that if the club did decide to let him leave for £500,000 in the New Year they might struggle to find a buyer who thinks the price is worth paying.

Kent, Ryan Jack, Filip Helander, Steve Davis, Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor can allbsign pre-contract deals elsewhere from January.
