Listen to Hugh Keevins’ humble pie climbdown as Celtic prove again that They Never Stop

Hugh Keevins might have finally learned not to write off this Celtic team by celebrating dropped points before the final whistle is blown.

Last summer Ange Postecoglou told his first squad of players that We Never Stop but the veteran Shock Jock was busy thinking up the witty acronym of Absolutely Not Good Enough.

Last season there was the classic announcement that one goal would settle the League Cup Final after Paul Hanlon netted against Postecoglou’s side but within 60 seconds Kyogo Furuhashi equalised before scoring the winner in normal time.

At the start of October Keevins predicted that Celtic’s season was about to implode when St Johnstone scored an equaliser- this time Giorgos Giakoumakis burst a certain bubble in the Super Scoreboard studio.

If there is an audio equivalent of Deja Vu it surfaced again yesterday with fans able to listen to the late events from Celtic Park and studio reaction on SSB thanks to Podbay.

49 minutes

Keevins: Well last night’s programme, devoted to Celtic supporters saying if we had taken our chances (in relation to their Champions League). Well they can say it again tonight because the only good news that Giovanni van Bronckhorst has had this week is at Celtic Park this afternoon.

Mark Wilson: And the lift that will give the Rangers fans and players going to that game

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOALFLASHES

Gordon Duncan: Celtic back in front, it is Celtic 3 Dundee United 2 and it is Kyogo, it was a corner headed in. He won’t score many headers but he did. (I) said it a minute ago, do it against St Johnstone, they tend to find a way and it’s Celtic 3 Dundee United 2

Gordon Dalziel: Incredible, absolutely incredible. You’ve got to congratulate them on it. Even when they look, Dundee United get that goal, they’ve got something to hang onto, they feel they’ve got a point- Celtic just have this knack to find the winners.

Gordon Duncan: Eh, yeah. Celtic back in front then. Late, late drama at Celtic Park, it looked like two points dropped, three back on the board now as things stand unless there is another sting in the tail.

Kyogo popping up with a very, very important goal. Four added minutes added on, and at Celtic Park still celebrates that like a fan base that knows how important that might be. Falkirk against Dunfermline….

Gordon Duncan: Sorry Dave (reporting from Ross County v St Mirren) to interrupt you, there’s been another goal at Celtic Park

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOALFLASHES…………

Gordon Duncan: And it is a goal forrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr- Celtic. Abada dinks it over Birigitti and that will be that. Sorry Dave Galloway, carry on…………….

Keevins: (52 minutes 20 seconds) : Having said that Celtic stood on the brink of a major foul up I have to credit them, and praise them because this is more than just an act. This is a practised tactic from Celtic because Giakoumakis at Perth, Greg Taylor at Tynecastle, and now to go 3-2 in front was absolutely breathtaking but to make it 4-2 is incredible.
