Jota does like to do things differently, whether it is with his hairstyle of globetrotting summer holidays.

Over the course of 15 months he has created plenty of special memories for Celtic supporters, playing with a smile as he unlocks defences and finds the net himself on a regular basis.

In four Champions League appearances he netted twice, signing off the campaign by scoring an outstanding free-kick away to Real Madrid.

As he discovered on his summer holiday through Ibiza, New York and Cancun there are Celtic fans everywhere, on Sunday he found close to 30,000 cheering him on against Everton.

Even a defeat on penalties to Everton didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the Celtic support who stayed behind to soak up every moment of their heroes being on home soil.

Jota could have prompted a scramble by launching his jersey into the crowd, instead he carefully picked out a young fan who went home with a priceless souvenir and memories to last a lifetime.
