As many predicted finding a replacement for Giovanni van Bronckhorst is proving much more difficult than sacking the Dutchman.

The decision to bin the former Barcelona star was taken last weekend with the official announcement made on Monday morning.

At that point Stewart Robertson and Ross Wilson sprung into action, leading up an executive recruitment team with a contact book loaded with A listers.

One Ibrox fan on Follow Follow doesn’t seem convinced by the Ibrox duo.

Follow Follow is an official media partner of the Ibrox club with access to media conferences.

Only the very naive would doubt that Beale has remained in contact with Wilson and Robertson, there will almost certainly have been contact since Monday morning, possibly through a third party to keep everything clean.

Beale will know the parameters of the job, his salary, transfer budget and where the club stands with the half dozen players running down their contracts.

Robbo and Willo will know Beale’s expectations but it seems that no progress has been made since Monday.

With players returning to training on Monday at Murray Park the pressure is on to come up with a manager that isn’t David Martindale or Robbie Neilson.

Why would any bear want Beale back so soon?

To leave the Championship for an SPL also-ran, would display a serious lack of ambition!

The assistant manager Mick Beale ,is taking his time about making his mind up ,isn’t he ? According to reports he is desperate for the job ,so why the delay in acceptance ? If he is installed as the tribute act’s next employee ,they will have to change their matchday song to Jethro Tulls Living In The Past …..Bye Bye Tina …..

  • John S says:

Beale knows Ibrox is a bucket of manure and will consider his options. Pay day if QPR sack him ?
