QPR chairman Amit Bhatia has liked a tweet highly critical of Michael Beale as he flirts with taking over from Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Over the last month Beale has shamelessly been promoting himself for the Ibrox job but it seems that the vacancy has cropped up much earlier than he had anticipated.

After turning down the option of talking to Wolves about their vacant manager’s job Beale gave a number of interviews highlighting his loyalty and how it wouldn’t be right for him to jump ship.

Given a free Saturday at the end of October, following a Friday night defeat at Birmingham, Beale made a royal visit to Ibrox, mingling with bears in the Louden Tavern and Grapes Bar before sitting in the Directors Box and high-fiving Connor Goldson.

As QPR results nose-dived Beale indulged himself in a podcast with Darrell Currie for BT Sport explaining how he was the brains behind the 20/21 freak title triumph and how the title would have stayed at Ibrox if him and Gerrard hadn’t gone running off to Aston Villa.

After six days of speculation linking him with a move to Ibrox loyal Beale has remained completely silent.

Now he finds himself with the choice of moving to Ibrox on half of the salary Gerrard had with no transfer budget or staying on at QPR where they know that his heart lies elsewhere with self promotion his only interest.
