Rarely has so much been made out of so little.

After 22 matches in charge QPR fans are getting sick of their new manager and his endless self promotion.

If the club were sitting in one of the two Championship promotion places it could be expected but in seventh place with one point from their last five matches some are wondering what the fuss is about over Michael Beale.

English managers are becoming an endangered specie, the hype around Beale is similar to that of former city trader Mark Warburton who crashed and burned in Scotland before finding his level out of front line management.

After the Wolves panto and the promises he made Beale is clearly relishing the attention from Ibrox, something that he instigated by his visit last month to watch a win over Aberdeen ahead of watching rival teams in the Championship on a free Saturday afternoon.

His friends at Ibrox could have been informed that the timing isn’t right but maybe at some future point he will be interested. He hasn’t done that which leads to only one conclusion.
