Ralph Hasenhuttl has ruled himself out from replacing Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Ibrox.

The Austrian was recently sacked by Southampton after a four year spell in charge but it seems that an offer to return to management at Ibrox was one that he could easily resist.

While big names from England are being linked and rising stars from across Europe are being identified the next manager is going to have to work under very strict parameters.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst was unable to sign a single Dutch player despite his knowledge of the game in his home country, while generating record turnover he found his hands tied in the transfer market with the stamp of transfer guru Ross Wilson all over the deals completed in the last two transfer windows.

Breaking the bad news about Hasenhuttl, the Daily Record reports:

Ralph Hasenhuttl is not in the running to become the next Rangers manager as Michael Beale ’s path to the job he craves became that bit clearer.

But Ibrox chiefs still have half-a-dozen candidates on their list as they ramp up their attempts to quickly secure Giovanni van Bronckhorst ’s successor. Austrian Hasenhuttl has decided he wants to take a break after being sacked by Southampton earlier this month.

The 55-year-old will take some time out and recharge his batteries before he decides on his next challenge. Hasenhuttl has been linked with the vacant Rangers job because Ibrox sporting director Ross Wilson had previously hired him at St Mary’s. But he will not be heading north and neither is Kevin Muscat likely to return to his former club.

Queens Park Rangers boss Beale is still very much in the frame and his club told Record Sport yesterday they wouldn’t stand in his way if he wanted to return to Ibrox.

Beale’s main competition for the job is likely to come from the SPFL duo of Robbie Neilson and David Martindale.

After reading the CV’s of many top candidates many of whom have won success with FIFA 2000 on X-box. Shuggie who runs the “All Stars” Sunday league team from from the Louden Tavern is the stand out candidate. He will be assisted by fitness coach Derek Johnstone and motivation coach Neil McCann.
The Board have laid bets with Paddy Power that this will bring glorious Defeats and ridicule.
