Robbie Neilson has called out John Beaton for calling time early at Ibrox last night.

With the home-side hanging on to a single goal lead there was a nervousness in the stands as the match reached the latter stages.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has come under heavy criticism as his side slips seven points behind Celtic at the top of the SPFL Premiership but the Lanarkshire based referee was keen to bring the match to a halt.

Covering the after-match comments of the Hearts boss, The Scotsman reports Neilson saying:

I was unhappy with the three minutes at the end. When we are holding on for a 1-0 lead you get seven or eight minutes. When you come here it is three minutes. There was a lot of time-wasting towards the end of the game by Rangers, which is something I have not seen here before.

But the referee decided he would just look at the substitutions. I thought towards the end of the game we were in the ascendancy, Rangers were time wasting, I was hoping for a bit more.

In contrast to Beaton, with no sign of time wasting from either side Willie Collum added five minutes on to Celtic’s visit to Fir Park.

On the hour mark VAR David Dickinson disallowed what appeared to be a good goal from Jota while Josh Morris was only booked for a shocking attack on Carl Starfelt.

This refereeing debacle cannot be allowed to go on. A root and branch revolution and clear out of the Referees old Boys network, must be implemented in Scotland, Celtic fc must force the change.

Lol all giving it th cry babies stuff on here today about decisions, grow a pair and do something about because our club CERTAINLY ain’t going anywhere NEAR it.
Stay away from away games protest at home ganes before entering the stadium and also outside after the game.
Leave ganes early 10 to 15 minuted to an empty stadium then questions will get asked and stop buying any merchandise.
These GREEDY people in charge of our club only understand £signs so hit them in the pocket and stop the CHEATING and CHISLING from going in or just sit at the back of the bus as always and get on with it.
    Your choice you decide?
