A week ago Kenny McLean was being touted for a dream move to his beloved Ibrox.

At the age of 30 there are a few more years left in the Scotland midfielder but he has put paid to the rumours by signing an extended contract keeping him with Norwich until at least 2025.

The teenage McLean was released by the old Ibrox club, like Lewis Morgan he celebrated his escape from Murray Park by breaking through with the Paisley side.

A move to Aberdeen followed in 2015, there was regular speculation about a move to Ibrox but while Ryan Jack got that transfer McLean left for Norwich in 2018 where he has been a team-mate of Teemu Pukki during the yo-yo years.

With his contract running out in six months the midfielder could have ran things down for a dream move, instead he has committed himself to Norwich and remaining a very long distance fan of the Ibrox Tribute Act.
