Johnny Kenny was a surprise name on the team sheet tonight as Celtic lost 2-1 Dunfermline in the SPFL Trust Cup tonight at East End Park.
The striker has been out on loan at Queens Park this season but the rules of the competition allow him to be recalled for cup action.
Dunfermline found themselves leading by 2-0 after 26 minutes thanks to goals from Taylor Sutherland and Nkolay Todov.
Kenny, who has started two Championship matches and came off the bench eight times, pulled a goal back in the 36th minute to give the hoops a lifeline going into the second half.
Celtic used five substitutes after the break but played the last 10 minutes with 10 men after Dylan Corr was injured with no more subs available.
