Three months short of celebrating his 41st burthday it seems the strain is really getting through to Allan McGregor.
Early in the second half the Ibrox keeper went off on one as he tangled with David Wotherspoon in the six yard box. Referee Steven McLean seemed happy to overlook the angry words and gestures.
Yesterday St Johnstone released a video from their 2-1 victory which shows how McGregor reacted to Leon King getting turned inside out by Stevie May leading to the second Saints goal.
It seems that Greegsy didn’t read the memo that young King is a national treasure, a teenage starlet in the mould of Ross McCrorie. His anger was very real.

Football can be the most brutal workplace, with points on the line and win bonuses at stake it seems that the 22 year age gap between the two players became irrelevant.
With no Champions League points there won’t be many win bonuses in the Christmas pay packets of the Ibrox stars, last season Greegsy was quids in during the run to the Europa League Final in Seville.
Is Greegsy too old now for Anger Management classes?
He might be reflecting the frustration running throughout the squad.
