With five minutes to go at Ibrox Alfredo Morelos was presented with an open goal to silence his thousands of social media critics.

Confronting the Ajax goalkeeper in the closing stages of the match, Remko Pasveer fell to the ground with the goal gaping.

All that Morelos had to do was turn around to point his body at goal but with that expanding waistline he snatched at it, shot wide of the post and produced another video clip for his social media catalogue.

Last night rights holders BT Sport were busy on Twitter deleting the video clips of the miss but the damage has been done.
