Watch the moment John Lundstram chucked it against St Johnstone

Even the Lundstram Loyal has turned against the man proclaimed as the best midfielder on earth just a couple of months ago.

It takes more than a scary stare to knock Adam Montgomery out of his rhythm with the sight of the young Celt enough to halt the Ibrox Iron Man in his tracks during St Johnstone’s 2-1 win over the Champions League record breakers.

It was certainly a strange moment, one that the Sky Sports commentary team barely touched on.

Whether it was being confronted by Montgomery or looking around to see that his options were to pass to Fashion Sakala, Antonio Colak, Ryan Kent or James Sands it seems that Lundstram simply chucked it.

As the joint best paid player at Ibrox alongside Kemar Roofe the former Sheffield United man is under contract until May 2024.
