Liel Abada’s price tag varies between £12m and £20m according to the top reporters at the Daily Record.

At the age of 21 the winger has just experienced his first Champions League campaign and is breaking into the full Israeli international squad.

Having taken the move from Israel to Scotland in his stride it is unlikely that Abada will require much settling in time when he eventually moves on from Celtic.

Achieving maximum value on the pitch is as important as selling for top dollar, with a contract running until May 2026 Celtic hold most of the cards with no suggestion that the winger could start agitating for a move.

Having Abada on board for next season would be a healthy outcome for Celtic, young wingers that score double figure goals and deliver similar numbers of assists aren’t easy to recruit.

Putting their question to the Saturday Jury the Record reports:

Liel Abada is a Southampton target but Celtic don’t want to sell. What kind of offer do you think could tempt the Hoops?

MICHAEL GANNON: There’s no need to sell Abada right now but when the time comes he could make Celtic a huge stack of dosh. At 21 and with proven end product, there’s no reason he couldn’t command £20m plus when the time comes.

DAVID McCARTHY: Celtic have him on a deal until 2026, so hold all the aces here. The youngster has been superb for them and they’d surely be looking somewhere north of £15m for him.

FRASER WILSON: If Celtic are serious about keeping the Israeli then it would take something pretty ridiculous to change their mind. Upwards of £12m.

Israeli side Petah Tikva are likely to have a sell on slice of any fee above the £3.5m that they sold Abada for in July 2021.
