Ally McCoist has warned the Ibrox board that they’ll have to back Micky Beale with hard cash.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst sold Nathan Patterson, Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey for around £30m and found himself sacked after just 12 months in the job.
Trying to challenge Celtic with Aaron Ramsey, Amad Diallo, Ridvan Yilmaz, Ben Davies and Rabbi Matondo proved to be too much to ask of the Dutchman.
Now that the excitement over Beale has died down reality is closing in with McCoist telling the Daily Record that the new boss will need backing to make any inroads on Celtic.
Hiring any manager is a gamble. I was surprised that Rangers hired Michael as I thought they’d prefer someone with more experience but when you actually think about it, they’ve hired someone that knows the club, has been there and knows what’s required of him. The one thing he needs to get; is support from the board – it’s vital. The next two or three months are vital for Beale and his tenure.
Van Bronckhorst created a £4.9m surplus during the summer transfer window but that money has been wiped out by paying off the former boss and recruiting a new management team.
Well, if the board don’t give him hard cash ,maybe Super swally’s company can see Beale alright ! By all accounts ,it’s doing swimmingly well with profit …
Cannae wait to see Bealerbaw in action and the gushing support for it from the fan boy meedja.
Expect lots of diving, shirt pulling, sneaky fouls and rolling about on the ground to get opponents sanctioned.
Dignity!
The costliest gamble was the first club giving this con man the managers job and then to our delight the new club doing the same it was hilarious.
Mr. McCoist appears to be suffering from the delusion that the present Ibrox club has pre-2012 financial clout (the opportunity to ‘cook the books’). As with Gretna, they’ve had their day in their brief spell in the Leagues.
Up to their Knees in doubt and debt!
The ex-cheeky chappy, still pollutes the media.
A striker who – according to frustrated RFC fans – missed several ‘sitters’ before scoring.
A failed, grossly overpaid manager – on any level.
A grossly overpaid gardener.
Ally “Who are these people?!” McCoist.
A thick, average footballer, over-hyped pundit – and someone who should have disappeared into the background 10 years ago.
Shameful.
Shameless.
