Ange issues ‘gentle’ reminder to players over talking out of turn

Ange Postecoglou has issued a subtle reminder to his players not to be speaking out of turn to newspapers.

It is highly unlikely that any of the imported players will have contact with Scottish reporters while the home-based players will be well aware that even the most innocent comment has to go through the club rather than directly between the reporter and a player.

In midweek Scott Robertson spoke in detail to a Daily Record reporter ahead of meeting Postecoglou with no prospect of another contract at the end of this season.

The midfielder made one top team appearance, in December 2019 away to Cluj, after loan spells in the English lower leagues it is no surprise that the 21-year-old will be available as a free agent.

Yeah, OK,  I don’t know if he should be sort of calling things himself in the papers, but anyway, aside from that.

At Aberdeen today Sky Sports will get pre-match access to a player plus Ange Postecoglou, the manager will also be interviewed by BBC Scotland, those broadcasters will also get post match access with the manager and a player speaking at an all-in media conference.
